# Custom product badges

To add a custom badge you need to add a tag with a specific prefix to the products that you want to have that custom badge. The prefix is `badge:` followed by the text you want to show within the badge.

Example: the tag `badge: PROMO23` can be added like this:

Once added, the tag will be visible on the collection and product pages:

The color of the badges can be managed from the theme settings - `Theme settings > Colors > Badges`.
